Despite the fact that only about two Gringos actually cared, the US Soccer Team beat Costa Rica in yesterday’s Copa Oro match with a final score of 2-0.
Most of the Gringos we spoke to even seemed to be happy about the victory even though they didn’t actually watch the match. The lack of excessive honking and shouting of “Tome Gringo Hijueputas” were said to be strong indicators that things weren’t going well for the Ticos and thanks to the loss, the socks and sandal crowd were able to get to sleep at a decent hour.
The two Americans we spoke to who actually cared enough to watch the match told us that even though they were rooting for Costa Rica the whole time they opted for an early departure after noticing they were getting nasty looks from locals after the match had ended.
