Four students were arrested this morning for allegedly pimping out their fellow classmates. The students, all between the ages of 16 and 17, were apprehended at the home of one of the accused, in the quiet Costa Rican hamlet of Hatillos.

Three men with last names Artavia, Calderón and Mesén were also arrested as part of the sting. According to authorities the four students earned up to 175,000 Colones for each girl they provided to alleged child predators.

Mesén, as the only member of the enterprise old enough to drive, is accused of delivering the girls to grown men for sexual encounters while Artavia and Calderón are accused of soliciting sexual relations with children. All seven of the arrested individuals are accused of human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation and are currently in police custody.

 Their victims were all underage students in the nations capitol.
