In the inspiring video below, a Costa Rican man with a gentle soul can be seen reuniting a baby Costa Rican squirrel with its Costa Rican squirrel mother. The now viral video, which has been shared over nine-thousand times since it was posted three days ago, was filmed in one of the last real Costa Rican towns in Costa Rica, the peaceful Costa Rican town of Ciudad Quesada, Costa Rica.

If you find yourself in a similar position but are unable to locate the squirrels mother, WildlifeRehabber.com has provided a handy guide to how to reunite a baby squirrel with its mother.

Here are some Costa Rican Squirrel Facts:

Common Name: Squirrel

Type:
Mammal

Family: Sciuridae

Tail not included, the variegated squirrel of costa rica grow to about 20-28 cm in length. The male squirrel has a penis, the female has a vagina. Preferring to mate when food is abundant, breeding season happens in March and April when the fruits begin to ripen.

A female squirrel will choose the strongest male during mating season and is unlikely to breed with that male again because female squirrels are dirty sluts. Squirrels are usually born in the early spring with the average litter consisting of four of the cute little bastards.

Male red-tailed squirrels do not help take care of the young.  The average adult male squirrel needs to eat about a pound of food a week to maintain an active life and large penis.
