Recently, while researching for an article on a potentially deceased drug dealer known as “La Reina Del Sur”, one of our Nicaraguan interns came to the startling conclusion that many Ticos just don’t know how mirrors work.

The revelation, which revealed itself in a revealing series of comments in the comment section of an article on the subject, appeared to be a clear reflection of how well Ticos understand exactly how reflections work.

**SPOILER ALERT** They clearly don’t.

To illustrate our point, one of our interns, “Nica Bob”, has copy/pasted some of the more embarrassing comments then translated them so that Gringos can laugh at them too. Enjoy.

“The tattoo of the woman they found is on her left arm, the one from the photo is on the right.”
“They are distinctly different arms”
“Yep, the tattoo is on the wrong arm”
“Unless Im seeing this wrong the tattoo is on the wrong arm”
“On the wrong arm?”
“tattoo is on the wrong side”
The Drug dealer has a tattoo on her right arm and this one has it on her left”
The dead one has it on her left and the other on her right”
“The supposed drug dealer has a tattoo on her right and the supposed cadaver has it on the left. Mmmmm Strange no?”
“It looks like the dead body has a tattoo on her left hand. The Drug trafficker has it on her right. “
“its the left hand not the right”
“First of all the tattoo is on the wrong arm…….TL/DR”
“The tattoo of the woman is on the righ and the cadaver has it on the left. For that reason it is not the same person”
“If you examine the photo well you will see that the live on has a tattoo on the right and the dead one has it on her left.
“The tattoos are on different arms. Something doesn’t add up”
“A tattoo on the left and the other on the right. Something doesn’t fit”
“One has a tattoo on the right and the other on the left. Tomorrow a tattoo artist will be dead”
I just cant
